Ben: I have been watching the prgress of the barn - when there is favorable weather. It is very exciting, and takes me back to the days almost 25 years ago when the "leeming Lemon" was hatched, and erected that long summer day. Keep at it. It is great. Hoagy
Glad to hear the money is rolling in! Hope that the bank is as laid back in its expectations for repayment as it was in its willingness to disburse the funds!
Hey Ben - just found this site while looking for barn homes... great blog!
Picked up "Old Home Renovation" magazine at Home Depot yesterday, and it has a phenomenal 7-page spread on a converted barn (including the cover shot). I highly reccommend it.
Good luck, and I've bookmarked you to see how things progress. We've been talking about converting several barns to make a complex of buildings for a bed and breakfast out west - maybe a big one left open for an art studio/woodworking shop, and another one finished more completely inside to serve as the B&B.
Good luck!
Yay! I can't wait to see it.

not quite as cool as your project but we have begun work on the new OLT equipment room which will be in a barn. We began doing the floors on saturday and I couldn't help but think about you and how great of a home conversion this barn would make. To follow our progress check out the Equipment room blog at thenewer.blogspot.com
